Tips for monologue

Be yourself, always think positive making sure that you have a good posture while standing speaking directly to the audience, always showing politeness.

There are a few monologues I am considering these are ;
Shopping and f**king
By mark raven hill
The character will be ; Lulu

OR

Low level panic
By Clare McIntyre
Character ; Jo

First rule to perform a monologue walking in the room, posture at all times, relaxed shoulders aswell as smiling and feeling comfortable when walking through the door. Then introduce the monologue, aswell as describing the character and what equalities il be interpreting.

I felt the tips that I directly got given was great help due to upcoming auditions aswell as for my monologue preparation.

Acting technique

Acting
To gain the right technique & understanding of how to access a Distinction therefore for my monologue I need to ;

Develop characterisation
Develop and Rehearse speech showing
How you respond to direction
Perform using skills and imagination

The objects for my monologue would be about a mother who has had enough of her typical everyday jobs that she has to face with her family. The mother looks after herself as well as her husband and child, rushing around everymorning to make sure all duties are done before her child 'Sally' goes to school, then she will get herself ready to follow a hard day at work to come back to the same repetitive duties. Therefore she wants a break , from the monologue a sentence ' I can't take it anymore' rephrases that she needs a break its all getting to much.

Here are pictures respresenting a relation with the text , here is one recreating the quote of ' look in the mirror eurgh'

Here is another of my first line of the monologue ' I can't take it no more ' this picture is showing the anger and frustration of how her lifestyle is.

My monologue is showing and describing a typical mothers daily life with children, no time to their self. Getting frustrated and angry of the repetition of every day life showing low self- concept during the monologue.
